Sing me !

Sing me is my final 3rd year BA Degree project at Penninghen. For this project I created a karaoke version of old French songs to sing in the shower. The aim of this project was to promote little-known songs from the past, sometimes forgotten sometimes not, from the beginning until the end of the 20th century, in order to highlight French culture.

Chante moi ! is a font that I drew for a subject around the song under the shower. The idea was to create a karaoke in the shower of old French songs in order to bring them up to date. The letters were drawn by hand, then vectorized to create a font corresponding to this universe. I started by drawing the capital letters and then the lower case letters. This makes it possible to was used for the design of a karaoke book for the titling and for poster design.

Chante-moi ! is a karaoke book made for the shower. The whole book is laminated. The aim of the project is to bring old French songs up to date in order to revive French culture, all French songs. The book is divided into three parts, from 1900 to 1930, 1940 to 1960 and 1970 to 2000. On each singer, there is a biography and a list of his greatest hits. The book is based on an overprinting system. On an inkjet print of old visuals of the songs there are the lyrics highlighted in color and the letters are high in laser printing. To remind you of this system, in each biography, the important part is also highlighted with the high text.
